Our advanced child safeguarding workshop is essential for anyone working with children, including teachers, school support staff, social workers, sports coaches, youth workers, and volunteers.

Designed specifically for schools and organisations committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children under their care, this training aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively safeguard children and respond appropriately to child protection concerns.

  1. Understand the difference between child safeguarding and child protection as well as who is responsible for safeguarding within your organisation

  2. Discover the four types of child maltreatment, the main warning signs, and the effects that maltreatment can have on children

  3. Learn how to create safe and supportive environments for children through safeguarding best practice, maintain professional and positive relationships with all members of the community, and develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures

  4. Understand the three circumstances in which a concern may arise, how to respond to a discovery or disclosure, and what information you will need to support a report

  5. Understand how to respond appropriately to a concern using country specific reporting advice. Learn how to report in good faith and what is meant by whistleblowing

  6. Feel confident in their ability to safeguard children and fulfil their duty of care responsibilities effectively through case studies and real-life scenarios
